One Day

One day you and I will be okay

One day we will have this pain and despair at bay

One day we will realize we made the right choice

One day the tears will dry, the heartache at a dull, hopefully forgeting why we go thurt at all

One day we will realize why we couldn't be, but until then we will have to wait and see

One day we will look at each other and not feel a thing, knowing why you couldn't give me a ring

One day you will have regrets for not treating me your very best

One day I'll be as happy as I can be, but not because of you, because of me.
