One Day

I learned not to tell how I feel with my first heartbreak. I built this concrete wall in hopes that it will never fall. An even though I only knew you for one day it felt like I met you before. The way you looked into my eyes as if you saw my world and thought it was beautiful. When I talked you looked at me and listened like everything I said was important. Oh and how you made me feel like a little school girl with a crush then challenge me like the woman I am. You had me at every turn and by the end of the night my wall was destroyed. I felt vulnerable and you saw that the moment I couldn’t look you in the eyes. A lot can happen in one day. What a surprise.
