One Day

Skies darken,The cold arrives. Earlier stays; Later goodbyes.Your face stained in my brain... Every feature saved and secured.Your touch burned into my heart... Every movement there to last. You're so close, but so far apart.I see you there just a step ahead, but you look emotionally dead.Your "front" seen through, if you only knew how far I got you.You left me cold...You left me darkened, my light gone with the absence of your touch. I miss you so, so much.Another day passes... The darkness fades. The skies brighten. The warmth arrives. I'm content being by my own side. My smile returns.Your smile fades... I told you, you'd miss me... One day.
