One Day

Fri, 06/28/2013 - 23:50 -- hisui

People in this world are so damn corrupt,
Tossing and turning, flipping and flopping.
Isn't there a price to pay for losing our humanity?
My hope, my faith, my wish,
Is it too much to ask that we just be kind?
Can we not step out of this house of lies?
Are we too far gone, too withdrawn?
Laying eyes upon all these crimes, my heart sinks down.
Let these words weigh down,
Maybe one day they'll come to renown.
Nothing stands out, just shades of gray.
Shades of what is right, what is wrong?
Do we even have the right to say anymore?
One day I hope this world shines bright somehow.
