One day

To my star,

I can see you blinking in front of me

Almost touchable, yet not.

You winked at me

to taunt me,

telling me to catch you.

Your light warmed me up

in the cold winter wind.

Why can't I reach you?

Another wink,

and I move closer.

Now a wave and I move closer.

But evey step I take moves me further and further away.

Your blinking falters for a second

finally realizing I can't reach you.

My love,

I will find you.

My love,

I am right here.

My love,

I am yours.

My star,

I will reach you.

One day.
