One Day
Sometimes I think to myself,
Will I ever be good enough ?
Growing up and always being told you're nothing really does effect you.
For so long I've been trying to prove myself.
I've wanted to show my family that I am good enough to be here, to be alive.
But no matter what I do, I never succeed.
I'm stuck in a place, feeling like I'll never get out, trapped by the pressures, scared of the forces, trying to please, but failing every time it seems.
I just want to be good enough.
To make people excited when I walk in the room.
I want to make an impact on people.
But what the challenge is, people who are invisible don't make impacts, they sit in the silence, get passed by, get ignored, and are forgotten.
Maybe one day, one day soon, I won't be worthless to this house. I won't be the disappointment.
I'll be able to live in peace with out the demands.
One day, I'll be me.
