One Day, Some day!
I saw her sitting in the rain,
with a smile on her face,
not a care in the world,
Till she noticed my place.
Then we looked at each other,
for the longest of time,
till everything faded,
but the hue of her eyes!
So luscious and green,
her hair as blonde as the sun,
she had the most lovely of figures,
that was ever sculpted above!
Then she summoned me to her,
and I gleefully made haste.
I entered her presence,
and sat in her place.
She told me her name,
and I told her mine,
and we laughed for a moment,
because they had rhymed!
Then we laid down together,
and soaked in the rain;
not losing our smiles,
though our clothes they got stained.
What an intriguing woman!
Her I'd like to know more;
This glowing ray of sunshine
in the middle of a storm.
I hoped to see her again,
then she said: "I'll be back next week!"
And I got so excited,
that my heart skipped a beat!
"You're quite a cute fellow"
she said as she left;
"I'd love to keep talking,
when we meet up once again!"
And as she departed,
the rain went with her,
and I thought to myself,
"O, how I do miss her!"
It's been twenty-three years now,
since that day in the park.
And I return everyday,
to remember the start.
I miss her ever so,
Much more than I can say.
My best friend has gone,
But I hope to meet up with her, once again...
Someday.
