To the one I can never love enough
To the one, I can never love enough,
Maybe we aren’t meant to be.
We fight and cry and scream and seethe,
Yet we still say, “I love you?”
How can we live this way, such contrast?
Black and white, light and dark
One fighting and one retreating.
It’s breaking me down,
Slowly chipping away at who I used to be.
It’s tearing me apart,
Making me search for meaning in a world of darkness.
I can’t see my way out,
I know you would give it to me,
You’re not that cruel.
But it would end you,
And I would be charged with murder.
So here we still are,
I’m trapped
And you’re in a constant chase
Two different people
Fighting for different things
But here’s the thing-
I love you.
I really do.
I’ll just never find a way to match how much you love me
And it’ll break my heart.
Slowly, a million times
Sincerely,
The one who is loved too much To the one I can never love enough,
Maybe we aren’t meant to be.
We fight and cry and scream and seethe,
Yet we still say, “I love you?”
How can we live this way, such contrast?
Black and white, light and dark
One fighting and one retreating.
It’s breaking me down,
Slowly chipping away at who I used to be.
It’s tearing me apart,
Making me search for meaning in a world of darkness.
I can’t see my way out,
I know you would give it to me,
You’re not that cruel.
But it would end you,
And I would be charged with murder.
So here we still are,
I’m trapped
And you’re in a constant chase
Two different people
Fighting for different things
But here’s the thing-
I love you.
I really do.
I’ll just never find a way to match how much you love me
And it’ll break my heart.
Slowly, a million times
Sincerely,
The one who is loved too much
