To the One I Should Trust the Most

Dear Ms. Premonition of a Preconception,

What is the best way to trust someone you don't
The way to tell them things you normally won't
How do you explain an invasion of privacy
When they perpetually think they have a right to see
My thoughts, my feelings, my secrets are not yours

The things I write they help me process, comprehend
My works, my art I should not have to defend
And they are not yours, nor ours
I poured my heart and mine alone into them for hours
I share with who I want, when I want, why I want
Your snooping eyes and searching finger are synonymous with taunts
My secrets, my feelings, my thoughts are not yours

I said it before; I'll say it once more
I best open myself behind closed door
If you want to know my feelings, on my thoughts trespass not
If you want to know my secrets, talk to me stop digging for debris
My feeling, my secrets, my thoughts are not yours

Do you want to know my thoughts, my feelings, my secrets
Talk to me
Don't take screenshots, send, & delete
Don't cover the tracks of your feet
In fact don't make the tracks at all
Because when I try to open up, I stall
My words get caught and I choke
My expressions can't get through my throat
And you make it no easier
Instead you deter

By forming your case before I even have time to make up my face
You caught me off guard before I had time to prep my head
Accusing me of lying before I can realize what or even if I've said

I failed to keep a diary because I never knew what you would decide to snoop through
I pent up my emotions and had no relief
Because I was more concerned on if you were a thief
I'm sorry to myself and you
Because I cut myself off from wisdom that could have helped me through
I'm exhausted from the wall building
And the constant emotion shielding
I'm cracks and pieces with broken frowns
I wallow in my sorrow & attempt not to drown
I'm tired of fighting, I'm standing down
Are you satisfied
My thoughts, my feelings, my secrets are now yours

Sincerely,

Me
