One Job May Change My Life

I used to wake up hoping to play this great game one day.

Now I wake up dying to make it each day.

Oh if things had gone my way to the tee,

I probably have been all smiles, more happy.

Luckily, there are many routes to get  to this place.

So why hate myself, coaches, and those more fortunate?

I mean, all of them made a better me;

A stronger me; a hungrier me; a humble me; a more driven me;

A been through so many battles me; a no quitter me.

Most of all they helped me to relove and appreciate me.

So now I wake up grinding for my opportunity.

On the field with the pig skin, dying from what it does to me.

I will overcome these obstacles and strife

All for the one job that may change my life.

All for the one job that WILL change my life.
