One Last Look

I open the window,

The rain hits the shadows

Like the pearls of a broken necklace.

Is the sky crying,

Because I am leaving?

I stare at the buildings.

Sadness is a knife

That cuts my heart and makes it bleed.

How can I leave this place

Without saying goodbye?

So I whisper goodbye,

Bye, my beloved home,

Bye, my loving friends and family,

I will never forget you,

And one day we will meet again.

I close the window.

The plane roars like a dragon,

And takes me away from the place I love

With my ten years’ memories

And the memory of my one last look.
