One last try.

I looked in to the eyes of her innoncent face, Her eyes brought me back to a hurtful place. They cast a soft hand that tried to embrace But the pain of my sins were much too great. I was whipped and beaten back into disgrace. I was scarred with a permanent horrible trace That was almost too great for God to erase. I was hurt and healed by the power of her eyes After the lust, and the cussing, and all the lies. I tried and I tried and I tried so many times But I remember the reason Christ had died And it gave me hope and it gave me pride To give it one last try.
