One Love

Best friends.

Inseparable.

They share the love, and the pain

But usually more love than pain.

Except on this one-day,

December 10, 1999

Their lives, would never be the same

Always something slightly not right.

One half of the pair,

Gone.

No words can describe the unconditional love from a mother to a daughter,

But this love can now only be remembered.

The thoughts, pictures, stories, they help.

But nothing, will ever replace that bond.

A girl needs a mother and that is a fact,

If only I could get one day back.

Its not a replacement I’m looking for,

Just wishing I could’ve had one more hour.

The tears and sorrow, feelings only I could understand,

Why is she the one that’s had to go? Ugh, oh man.

If only I were older,

I could remember so much more.

Like the days when mommy was around to take away my bore.

I’ve only ever heard good things…

She was a friend to everyone, great style, the queen.

I hear I look just like her, have her keen personality too,

That compliment means more to me than anything you could ever say or do.

It’s not easy to explain,

Not an act, or a game.

She’s still here with us,

Just not living the Franci fame.

She was the prettiest person I’ve ever seen

I wish I could remember,

Not from pictures,

Not make believe.

More people knew her, then anyone else in the world

She was just so cool, and that is the moral.

A girl needs a mother and that is a fact,

If only I could get one day back.

A mother a daughter and everything in between.

I love you.

Years go by and friendships change

While very little remains the same

Unfortunately the pain

Is one that forever remains

From dress shopping to dinner dates

A daughter-mother relationship is simply fate

Without a mother who are you?

A mess? Flustered? A complete foo?

Well that is me, my daily battle

I rarely like telling others, no tattle

I simply cover my feelings with a coat

Working hard on the inside to remain afloat

Prayers and thoughts

Things that I wish were magic

Although deep down

It’s all just tragic

The pain is something few could understand

I encourage others not to keep feelings canned

The best thing to do is talk

Sometimes the words may come,

Sometimes they are merely thought

A girl needs a mother and that is a fact

I wish I could get just one day back.
