One Man War

Crimson thoughts, frail soul and flimsy bones,
But you thought you were above it all.
There is only one being that can whisper sweet words in your ears
while eating your flesh slowly. Yes.
The devil is a liar. Go figure.
But material things trap your mind,
Silvers and gold and money train you
Building you to be a soldier.
The war?
It's nothing you have ever seen.
You sharpen your tongue to sting anyone ready to offer a dose of truth.
Your boxing gloves are on ready to beat lies into the brain of a Godly messenger.
The devil's got you paranoid. Can't you see?
Trapped or threatened animals hurt others but you run for the kill.
In your eyes, the truth is a distant warrior menacing your life and planning unseen revenges.
As soon as the clock go ding, you run to your enemy and slaughter the menace in the mirror.
Yes, the devil is prowling for revenge
For all of those times you were unfaithful in your prayers,
Or pride soared you to cloud nine.
Gravity doesn't lie!
But if only you answered that call, you would have been in heavenly bliss.
Your material love made you into a soldier that knows not
His enemy from his reflection...
