One Mighty Pen and One Strong Paper
"The pen is often mightier than the sword" she would say with a smile.
I didn't believe it, shrugged it off like my parent's hands when they would try to understand.
I was unruly, cruelly hurting the ones that still stand by me today.
I thought I was on my own.
"Just write what you want, whatever's on your mind today" she would suggest.
A sigh and one quick glance at the sky, and there began the strokes of one mighty pen on one strong paper.
My muddled thoughts and anger dragged across the paper, each letter a testament to the adolescent that thought the world was against her.
A whole tattered book and web searches for rhyme words later and I still try to write my thoughts.
each word and each feeling that occurred was recorded through my own efforts.
Till this day, I still remember that "the pen is often mightier than the sword."
