One in a Million

One in a million that is what I am

Cushing's disease as rare as I am

Cortisol overload has been my biggest foe

A year recovery and it will be let go

A tumor has caused my mess at hand

Lost part of my brain and both adrenal glands

Three medicines each day are my little gems

Would die very quick, I can't live without them

My body right now is in an adjustment phase

Like a drug addict riding myself of bad ways

Feel pretty sick at times, but see the light ahead

My body will return to me, it will not drop dead

In Grad school next year which is very cool

Need to heal so I can learn and teach in grammar school

It's true my little gems I can't set free

But Cushing's disease will not define me
