One minute to the Next
One minute here, The next gone.
A seventeen day old, a seven year old, and a mother, All alone.
At seven years, Too afraid to shed tears, In fear that she would hear.
No time to ponder On the life you left behind,
No time to wonder What we could’ve made of our time.
One second seven and happy, The next seven and melancholy;
From a kid to grown in one night, Never feeling quite right.
Seven and lost, All at the cost of a father, brother, husband, and son.
