One Mistake

Because i love you, i forgave you when you almost let your friend rape me

It was a time before you fell in love with my charm and i made you see

That you belonged to no one other than me

Condemned to the fiery pits of your love whose lashes scorch my skin

You brung forth the affections i tried so hard to hold withinAnd with every gentle caress and every breath stealing kiss

I found myself falling blindly, your slightest presence i would miss

You dared not lay a hand on me, for that was not your forte

You dared not verbally abused me, for you had nothing negative to say

You said i was the dearest thing to your heart and i always will be

That i stuck by you through the bad and to your heart i stole the key

And now years later we’re here, between us nothing fake

I guess it had been one mistake
