One Mistake

Their life was fake and they were called a snake

After being cast out they somehow vanished deep within the crowd

Started wearing an indifferent face that would never break

-

It was all the terrible result of one mistake

Shattering everything at once just for being so very proud

Their life was fake and they were called a snake

-

Harrowed by what they were ever to forsake

They decided to just forget after finally crying so very loud

Started wearing an indifferent face that would never break

-

They tried and tried but could not escape

Instead ended up falling down deep into the underground

Their life was fake and they were called a snake

-

In their heart they would feel such a terrible ache

Remembering the regret that came after just wanting to be crowned

Started wearing an indifferent face that would never break

-

It was all a nightmare from which they hoped to wake

A heavy one in which they had long since drowned

Their life was fake and they were called a snake

Started wearing an indifferent face that would never break
