One More Thing

My Prince Charming

the thing of fairy tales

because I never thought it could come true

that everyday when I waited for him home

he would come throught the door

and embrace me without the slightest hello

because we wouldn't need to

because we'd never say goodbye in the first place

and he'd take my hands in his

and cook my favorite dishes

without even asking what I want

because he knows already

then we'd sit down next to each other

and talk about our days

and he would nod and smile and laugh and hug me

at all the right moments

we would go to bed after a bit of cuddling and our favorite TV shows

and he would put on soft music

and dance me into the blankets

so we could drift off to sleep

but the day I imagine would then fade away

because in my fantasy he is sweet,

he is kind

he is perfect

and one more thing;

he actually loves me.

Hello! The name I'm going by on the site is Trizdy Plat. I began writing poems in ninth grade, when I met my first friend at the high school. I had never really thought much about it, but I've always loved writing stories, even thought I'm not very good. I decided to try my hand at poetry instead, and here we are! I mainly write about love and relationships, even though I'm pretty much clueless in both areas. I find that poetry has a way of communicating what you want to say, even if what you're saying makes no sense. Right?
