A One Night Stand

Time Eternity Love Maturity Sometimes we fall Only to lose it all Yet his beauty... It captivated me Within those golden eyes I lost myself And for a time he was the only thing I felt Curious with his tender loving touch Suspicious with suspence it was all too much "But t'was not to last" As Shakespeare were to quote As he gave me the letter The last one he ever were to wrote "Goodbye, I lied, it was never true..." "I'm letting you go, there's nothing else to do" "There's someone different, someone whose not you" "Someone much better, someone new..." "It was fun while it lasted, but now I'm done" "My love for you was wasted and now its all gone" "So goodbye, farewell, I'm letting you go" "There's nothing else to say, nothing else you should know" The pain A stick of dynamite in my heart Think fire, flames, explosions It blew me apart A one night stand Not exactly wat I had expected But its no big deal Just feeling hurt and rejected Don't know if that's what you had planned But doing this to me doesn't make you a man You've got a lot to learn A lot that you don't know Stuff you need to experience Things you need to be shown I gave you my love And up in flames is where it went But as much as it hurt My love for you isn't spent I can still love you, be your sister, your friend I can still support you, and be there til the end Even after our one night stand
