ONE NIGHT STAND
It was just a one night stand thats what you said when you left my momma on red
sayin that im not yours cuz we don't share the same tone
Oh, this is your blood runniung through these veins
You were 18 years to gone 7 Years to late
So don't start calling me up when you start seeing me on stage
making my dreams real; I didn't need you then and I don't need you now
I made it in my own this long somehow
I don't need you coming around
thinkin you can get a chance to make up for the lost time we never had
Cuz daddy Oh
You were 18 years to gone 7 years to late
Don't forget what you said that night
It was just a one night stand
Oh, it was just a one night stand
Are you happy now
How I turned out
Im out here tryin to make my family proud
Acutally being there cuz I never had a doubt
You just left a mother alone with a new born baby
Growing up never having a clue
That behind closed doors
your daughter was scared to come and tell the truth
Being abused by a scum of a step father
I wounder what you wouldve done if you only knew
But thats done and over now cuz I stood up
and stood my ground got'em behind bars
Yet im still wearing a frown
Cuz I keep wondering
what my life would 've been like if you were around
but you were 18 years to gone 7 years to late
So just remeber what you said that night
It was just a one night stand
Oh, It was just a one night stand
