That One Opportunity
Everyone has that one opportunity,
The opportunity to ditch the path that has been set for them.
The opportunity to create their onw path through life,
Doing what they genuinely want to do in life.
Sure there are Giants in the way holding you back.
Their names are Parents, Cost, Tradition, and maybe even Fear,
But if you want it enough nothing will stand in your way.
For me marine science is just in my grash,
But even now those Giants keep pulling at my legs,
Laying pitfalls and traps along the way to hold me back and maim my dreams,
So that my one chance to escape what fate has determined my life to be will be destroyed.
These Giants try to keep me on their path only because they missed their one chance,
But what they fail to comprehend is that I am bigger then them,
That I am stronger then them,
That my will will out last them,
And that I have been waiting for this chance for the past 13 years and I'll be damned if I miss that one chance I have to escape and beat fate bcause it was lost to some Giants.
I will become a marine scientist and these Giants will feel the heel of my shoes crush their hands as I sprint towards that one chance.
The better get used to seeing my back because that's the only thing they'll ever see as a chase down that one chance.
