One Second
The days they are long, the nights ever longer. Seconds pass by and never do I blink. Life flies by, but never do I think. She was breathing one second and the next she lay still. No longer her heart was beating. She was still. Life goes on, one second at a time. The days are mighty long without a her here. Life is still, dead, never will it be alive again. Life is shallow so hard to keep going for she is still and will never move with me again. Life goes by no matter what. The days are long, the nights ever longer. One day I will wake up and breathe but until that day life goes, one second at a time.
