One-Sentence Poem

When the Rain Turns Silent

What a day it is when the rain turns silent;

although the ground isn’t wet,

the new breeze fails at banishing shadows of the raindrops

and you water your eyes as if mourning the loss of an admirable friend;

divesting tears for those who do not cry,

and wiping them off your shivering fingers

like they would someone else’s blood.
