The One Thing
The one thing I can't live without is intangible
that only my soul could touch.
One thing I can't live without is so miraculous,
that only His voice could sound the proof of life into existence;
only His breath understands the place for my lungs to breathe;
only His thoughts sleep on the heart of my mind.
So all I know about is You keeping my heart breathing;
my soul living.
Because before self-dependency led to self-mutilating.
Self-excruciating pain from the weight of loving her demons
who lie,
and lying on her back
imprints the devil deep on her spine.
She prays to walk the hope to fly.
She'll bleed while she's in need.
While she's in need, she'll bleed.
The dark moving shadows whispers she wont stay alive long.
In length, her lifetime is a table dash between two dates almost kissing.
Love never tasted so bitter once you're close to death.
Coughing up your own dust.
Decomposing in the grave you never craved, but carved your body into.
I can't live without You.
I can't see You until I open what You gave.
It's bright.
It's blinding.
Interwinding my life in Your strands of three.
Never in my life have I ever felt so complete.
