I know we all have it

That one thing

That one thing we would go to any lengths to keep

That one thing we always want by our side

That one thing we would do anything to protect

It seems difficult to imagine that one person could rely so heavily on one thing

Whether it be person, place, or thing

We're all different our protected object is different

I understand

Weird as it is

My favorite book

Without it somewhere at hand I feel lost

Somehow not myself

Whatever your object may be

Guard it close at hand
