One Thing

There is one thing that comes to mind.

The one thing that I cannot live without.

It is not something I am proud to admit,

Because its use is not kind.

Its something that would make anyone pout.

Since it has no benefit.

Just to my own demise,

Because I will not compromise.

The one thing is small and unafraid.

It is a shiny blade.

I am not its only victim.
