One Thing is Everything

If I could change one thing,

I would change the way people see.

I would change the look of the birds and the bees

and how the mockingbird sings.

I would not let another child starve

at the hands of their protectors.

If I could change one thing,

I would change it all.

A world so dark and demising,

I would save it from itself.

In a world with so much tragedy,

I would bring an end,

With a beginning.
