The One Thing I Need

On a strange island I find myself

I have one item I could choose

To ensure the survival of my soul

I do not want my life to loose

So I picture in my mind the goal

Of days to come and family near

Of friends and loved ones that are so dear

I must ensure that I survive

I take all actions to live and thrive

Life itself is to precious to measure

It is our only perfect treasure

That we must guard with all our might

A natural law we cannot fight

I have the power to conceive

Of a thought so grand I need be still

To find myself  alone indeed

With the steadfast power of myWill
