One Thing I would Take
Apart from all the necessities for survival,
That’s including water, food, or anything needed to keep on my life cycle,
I would choose my feline friend Donna, to take with me if I were to ever be stranded on a deserted island.
She’s gentle, loving and most importantly accepting.
She never judges and she never complains,
She simply asks for attention and sleeps all day.
She’s there to comfort me whenever I’m feeling down
and whenever I feel lost or alone she always seems to be around
Her gentle purr is the only thing that stops me from having a meltdown.
From all my pressure and stress,
Seeing her walk around with such elegance
Makes all my problems seem so little, with no irrelevance.
She’s the only one that can make me escape from my reality
And makes me feel wanted even when I feel everyone’s against me.
I guess you can say she’s a personal form of therapy
But whatever it is, she’s someone I wouldn’t be able to live a day without
For the simple fact that she lets me feel like all my problems can be straightened out.
