The One Thing I'd Bring

You think I’d be lonely and sad,

but, in fact, I’m not even mad.

I’m not alone, you see,

It’s not just me.

I have a book,

Just take a look.

These words are full of power,

And I can read them hour upon hour.

There are words of love,

that came from above.

It’s a book about the best thing ever,

that I could talk about forever.

It’s about my heavenly father,

and he’s always here, but does not bother.

The Holy Bible is it’s name,

God wanted to save the world, so his son came.

Although it may be long,

it’s message alone is strong.

It would keep me sane,

and knowledge would be what i’d gain.

If I could only have one thing,

the Holy Bible is the thing I’d bring.
