The One Thing One Cannot Replace

As I walk along the deserted path,

Unsure of who I am or where I stand

Thoughts as loud as a marching band

Not a lone moment does one hath.

Irreplacible. irreplicable, the mind is

Not just mine, but yours, hers, his

All bright, full of life and hope

What we use to help us spin out or cope.

The one thing that without cannot we be

Imagination, intelligence, personality

Some see it as a hinderance, some a vice

Yet, without it, what would provide life? Advice?

One thing to never be without is a mind,

For it is real, physical, and yet abstract.

It holds secrets, all the world's stories and finds,

Never can it retract.
