One Time

Just one time I want to be noticed,

I don’t want to get bumped into in the hallway because no one even realizes that I’m standing there.

One time, I want to be congratulated for the things that I do,

 what I do matters too.

I want to be looked up to not looked down upon,

 I make the right decisions.

One time, I want someone to say hi to me because they recognized me from a class,

I’m here every day and sit next to if you’d just look over once.

One time, I want someone to tell me I’m pretty,

everyone always compliments the other girls.

One time, I want to have the confidence to help someone when they have fallen,

I know what it feels like to be down.

I want to be able to feel like I belong,

I fear for when I will ever fit in.

One time I want to be able to walk down the hallway with my head held high,

because I don’t have to worry about anyone else.
