This one time

There was this one time,

a Long time ago,

or maybe just yesterday,

it feels like This one time

Would be forever, here to stay.

Well, anyway, This one time

It was so deep and dark.

I thought that, this one time, would destroy what was my heart.

But then, there was another time,

These words just flowed thropugh my head.

And over and over , As i lay in my bed,

They pestered me and sang to me,

Until I rose, instead.

And I found this one pen, this one time, And I wrote down those words.

And those words became poetry and that poetry was my saving grace.

All that I cried over, all that i scratched upon, I turned into words that turned into songs.

And As I breathed those words, this one time,

I felt like I could write my way out of this one time in my life.

So I wrote .

And I wrote.

I filled up a binder of words full of sorrow and rage until,

this one time,

I ran out of words.

And I was ok.

I've never been a skilled poet, But I found that poetry was a way for me to

pour out me very soul into words that no one would ever read. I Really did have a thick , plastic binder just

filled with a couple hundred poems during my highchool experience.

I Felt rage, and loss, and heart break over things that I no longer like to talk about, But at he time, I just wrote every emotion

into that binder until I was just sone being sad and angry. I still have that binder

Though I never look through it. I refuse to re live all those emotipns that fuels those poems

But it was an important part of my youth that I will always respect.
