One Way Love

They say every relationship will have their bumps in the road This was a small bump we'd eventually get through right? I thought all the times you told me what to do was out of love but it was from it. Everything I did was to make you stay but in the end you pushed me away. Because I love you, i closed the door on many friendships. I stopped speaking to guys because you said it wasn't right. 3 weeks in you asked for my password because I love you I gave them to you. I lost myself trying to become the girl you wanted me to be but that girl was far from being me. I tried my best to make you happy even when it killed me. Because I love you I stayed even when I wanted so badly to let go. But because I love you, I learned my worth. I know that I should never let a guy take control of me again. I now know when it's a one sided love. Because I love myself I finally learned to let go. I now know how I should be treated. No guy is worth losing yourself over. One day a guy who knows my worth will come.
