The one who got away

Dear yeroc,

It's late November and cold weather is creeping on us

like I tried creeping back into your life.

This weather of course, is stronger and more

powerful than I could ever be.

And of course this weather can change in

less than 24 hours,

but me, I took my time as if I had

nothing to lose.

And maybe I didn't.

When the wind blows, know it is me.

I am here trying to get you to notice me again.

I forgot to ask, how are you feeling dear?

The day you chose to not give me a reason

is the day I started blaming myself.

You took my emotions as if they had offended

you in the worse way possible.

You smashed them into the wall

with all your might and all the anger

you had stored inside you.

After all that,

I still blame myself.

What if's still tear me down,

What have's are still replaying in my head,

what did happen,

Is still a reality I'm not sure I want to accept.

But as everyone says,

"Time heals all wounds"

and maybe it's true.

Only time will tell.
