To the one who was misunderstood

To the one who didn't deserve me
You know who you are
This poem is written to you
And your love which left me scars
I should've had this way of thinking
When you treated me as if I was nothing
If i was nothing why didn't you leave me
I shouldn't have let you in...
I won’t fall for the actions
I won’t fall for the messages
I won’t fall for the comments pulling me in different directions
I won’t fall for the flowers
Or the woman crush wednesdays
I won’t even fall for the times you could’ve left but chose to stay
Because when i did fall
You gave her the same actions
Same messages
Except she got the right direction
She got her favorite flowers
Woman Crush Everyday
Only option on the table was for you to stay
I fell and you cut me loose
And I had to pick myself up
Now this poem may sound cliche
I wrote this right after you left me
I know now that it wasn't my fault for falling
For it showed my big heart
It showed how i believed in true love
And i believed we would never drift apart
I saw you last week
And i know you saw me too
You knew not to approach me
But i knew you wanted to
We were young and dumb
And I shoudn't have been so naive
But am i wrong for thinking there was something real there?
That you wanted to pick me up
But didn't know how
You didn't know I had fallen so hard
And I didn't know you were hurting
I'm sorry I wasn't there for you
And I'm sorry she wasn't either
We were caught up in the statuses and the posts on twitter
Maybe thats why things ended
I was caught up in the title
Oblivious to the fact that you needed more out of me
Things are different now though
And i know we have both grown
I wish you the best in life
And i hope you find the time to mend your soul
