To the one to whom

To the one to whom my heart belongs:

Three years since we first made acquaintance,

I love yous said in two years gone,

And our deepest feelings professed long since.

You awaken laughter with your playful energy;

A radiant smile dominating your look.

For since your ear has been my diary,

And to you I am an open book.

You share your warmth of hand and heart;

My rock in times of suffering and sorrow;

You’re the one to remind me, when I fall apart,

That you’ll be there for me long past tomorrow.
