One Wish
What do I want?
I see what's behind the eyes.
But I see the breasts & thighs.
I feel the truth I'm attracting.
But I see the lies distracting.
Since the cradle,
I've been outnumbered,
Wielding my battle axe having my back,
since able.
Survived, but barely.
Thrived, but rarely.
With the chains I thought like a slave.
Now free, bravely I fought,
But I miss the cage?
What do I really want?
I see the bitter antidote.
But I see the sweet poison.
On the Frontline I see people,
Multiplying and dying.
Then I see the generals,
Fattening up, shitting heavy, smiling.
What do I think I want?
I see the simple peace paid with patience.
Then I see complex instant gratification.
I see the flesh that hugs the Bone.
But I feel the Soul.
I see heart healing memories,
In the face of a child.
I feel the origins,
Of the reasons that pistol misfired
Still killing myself,
But not how I conspired.
What does my Mind want?
What does my Heart need?
I feel me,
But then I see you.
