The One in the "Wrong Aisle"

She walks through the aisles

But her eyes are focused on the floor.

Her interest is not sparked

By the shirts with glitter.

The shirts with cute cartoons

Or flower designs across them.

The pants with rhinestone on the back.

Her feet carry her to the next section.

The section with band tees and graphic tees.

Her interest is wide awake now.

Shirts that have no awkward cleavage cut,

That is not meant to fit every curve known

And jeans that are not meant to accent anything.

The guy section where things tend to be simple.

The section where she feels at home,

Where she’d be happy picking something out from

So she does just that, ignoring curious stares

And sometimes even glares

From the women on the other side of the store.
