Oneday

You had me hanging on.

An almost

a maybe

a possibly.

But all along, I knew

it was nothing

it was never

it was gone already.

Nothing started,

except in my mind

that is.

Destined to be unrequited

I despised you but also didn't

It can't be explained.

It can't be quantified.

The hurt I felt for no reason

Different meanings

for the same sentence.

Different interpretations

end bitterly.

You were still there

when I reached out.

That, I must say, that

was the real issue.

You left my dangling on.

A future

A someday

A oneday to never come.
