To the Ones

This is for the ones who did what no one else could

To the ones who changed my life

And the ones who saved my life

The ones who made everything infinitely better and sometimes just a little bit worse

And the ones who taught me that the lines between those two things aren’t as blurred as everyone would like you to think

To the ones who went adventuring with me at 4 am

And to the one who understands I come up with dumb ideas at 3

To the ones who showed me things can work out

To the ones who took the opportunities they were given

And to the one who randomly sent me smiley faces that I still have no idea how he managed to draw on his phone just because he knew I’d love them

To the ones who made me feel at home

To the ones I could be myself around

And to the ones who made sure I knew being myself wasn’t a bad thing

To the ones who never put up with my excuses

And the ones I learn from every second I am with them

To the ones who stayed as long as they could

To the ones who showed me life was worth living

To the one who flipped my perspective around with two simple words I’d like to return to you all now: Thank You

Our lives are all melting pots of the people and things we take in and those moments that are thrown in

So this is to the ones who made me who I am

This is for the ones who showed me how to live
