The Ones That We Favor

My favorite color was the gold in his eyes.

My favorite shapes were the lines he made as he smiled.

My favorite sound was his voice singing along

Next to mine down old dirt roads.

My favorite taste was his gentle lips

Pressed to mine.

My favorite memories are the ones of Him.

My favorite love is the one that I found,

And lost, in him.
