Online tonight

I wish that you were online tonight.

I have had enough to drink,

That I might actually tell you how I feel.

Thank goodness that you are not online tonight.

If you were,

I might finally tell you how I feel.

The last time I saw you,

When you picked me up at the airport in the snowstorm.

I wanted so badly to ask you,

To kiss me.

I know that you would have pulled over and done just that.

I can feel how much you care for me,

Even from 900 miles away.

We talk on the phone and you tell me,

How good it is hear to my voice.

I want to tell you,

How good it is to hear your voice as well,

But you know what holds me back,

From saying the same to you as well.

I cannot admit to anyone,

The feelings that I have for you.

I am so in love with you,

And I know that you are in love with me as well.

What would happen,

If I said it out loud?

What would that mean?

What would the repercussions be?

We you be content to share me,

With another man that I love?

How could I ever ask that of you?

I love him,

And yet I love you as well.

So here we are,

Stuck in limbo,

Never to really say how we feel.

I guess that it is the way that it has to be,

For now.
