The Only 1.
The only 1
A lot of people say that you can't find "true love"
especially when you are 17 and you have no idea what is
going on
or what you are doing with your life
...but something in his hazel eyes tell me differently
maybe it was where I met him that drew me closer to him.
Hiking through mountains with dirt and sweat on my body
Reaking of hardwork and pain of sleeping on rocks
And yet he still had a sparkle in his eye when the group peaked a mountain at 4:30 am
I can’t tell you how I began to fall in love with him
But what I can tell you is that love is nothing like
… kissing someone and feeling “fireworks”
… loving EVERY single part of them
love is seeing the scars and battles they have been through and wanting to carry them as your own
hoping that they never feel pain or suffer loss
wanting to hold them as tight as you can till they feel better
till the tears are all cried out
and sure.
You know he is strong.
He has to stick himself hundreds of times with a needle in the span of one week cause there is something faulty about his pancreas
and you don’t get it
you don’t get it at all
how his flaws could be so easily seen from the outside
with a pump and a site that checks his glucose levels
sticking out from his side
but he is still the most perfect person you have ever seen in your life
how does he carry so much? You wonder
while also holding you in his arms tighter than you thought possible
you’re unsure
but you definitely don’t want him letting you go….
