The windows are shattered, only reflections of my broken heart. The lonely voice is crying the pain of falling so deeply apart. Rain, falling down like hail, only salty tears of my broken soul. Calling out to God for help trying to fight the emptiness to stay whole. An angel setting a depressed heart free, only my body has died feeling empty. I hear the whisper of remorse. It's something bitter to me. The room is dark and cold, only the feeling of my mind. Sleepless nights of awakening thoughts ponder time after time. I know what I have become, only it's someone alone and unseen. Happiness is all too often forgotten, and time is fairly depressful and mean. Concentrating on relentless meanings, only trying to believe what's right. Holding back the sorrow keeping it locked so deeply tight. Listening to what you really want to hear, only thinking what you hear is alright. Trying to be who you want to be wondering if your dreams are in sight. The door has slammed shut, only keeping my silence near. I want to freely open up to God who has always been here.
