Only to Ask a Question

A silence that would burst you eardrums

The darkest of darkest nights

An earthquake from the deepest underneaths

A shattering holiness that could burn the earth

5 times the size of Jupiter

Wrath of unspeakable measures

That was destined for you and me

Yet that one man took on one of the most

Catastrophic moments in human history

THE catastrophic moment in human history

A debt of unnameable evils

Forged by our own hands against

The Sovereign God of the universe

Met by the only one who could take it away from us

Jesus

That day was the anger toward us poured ALL out on Him

For Love of unconditional matter

The preposterous thing is

Popularity doesn't believe, care, or know

About this amazing act of love toward a group of people

Deserving of the deepest depression in hell for all eternity

How can we live with knowing that?

That is the question...
