only the desperate are divine
welcome to paradise
the angel said to me
take a chance and roll the dice
and then you'll finally see
you think your fate is entwined with the lies
you've given to the world
well this is gonna leave you paralyzed
you silly little girl
you said you wanted the grass to be greener
you said you wished that the air would be cleaner
oh you're not satisfied
and every day I find you
lying in front of the mirror
swallowing shards
how long are you gonna last
the demon whispered to my heart
cause I wasn't joking when
I said I'd tear you apart
you think that you can escape inside
the earth's warm embrace
well you better figure out what to do
with this time that you waste
you said you wanted the glass to be clearer
you said you wished that the light would draw nearer
oh you're not satisfied
and every day I find you
lying in front of the mirror
with your face in the sand
well I sent a message to the stars
the angel says he's sorry
he tells me not to worry
but the demon says that he'll
sleep well tonight
I said I wanted my bones to keep breaking
I said I wished that my heart would start aching
oh I'm not satisfied
and every day you find me
lying in front of the mirror
with death in my eyes
