Only a Dream

Falling slowly asleep
My eyes meet yours
And my heart skips a beat
Walking on the edge of the sea
We watch the sunset
Only after the sunrise we leave
With my hand you trace the stars
We chase after fireflies
And catch them in jars
You kiss me gently and dry my tears
Promising you'll make it better
You'll erase all my fears
Together we'll be better than fine
You give me the world
Because the moon is already mine
A shoulder for me to lean
A heart unbroken
But it's only a dream

Hi, I'm Jenna! I've been writing poetry ever since I was a little girl. Writing has always been my favorite way of communicating with others. Besides poetry, I also write nonfiction and fiction works. My other hobbies include playing soccer and softball for my high school. I'm kind of an adrenaline junky, too. I love going on adventures. I intend to travel and write for most of my life, and I hope I can make some sort of difference in the world, no matter how small.
